An enema may also be prescribed in preparation for an endoscopic or radiological examination or before a surgical procedure. Before use, seek advice from your doctor: enemas may be inadvisable in certain cases for sensitive individuals and should only be practiced occasionally.

How to use the Enema Bulb

1- Fill the bulb with lukewarm water or the enema solution prescribed by your doctor. Screw on the nozzle and lubricate it with vegetable oil or a lubricating gel.

2- Lie down in your bathtub on your side or back and pull your knees toward your chest. Or, sit on the toilet and lean slightly forward.

3- In one of these positions, insert the lubricated tip into the anus and slowly squeeze the bulb with constant pressure. The water will enter the rectum and detach fecal matter from the intestinal walls.

4- Once the bulb is empty, remove the nozzle from the anus without releasing the pressure of your hand on the reservoir (to prevent soiled liquid from flowing back inside). Allow the liquid to drain freely into the toilet.

Maintenance advice: After each use, separate the components (nozzle and reservoir) and wash them with soapy water or an antiseptic solution. Rinse and let dry. Store in a cool, dry place, away from light.
