What is a derivative bath?
A derivative bath consists of cooling the perineal area, between the genitals and the anus. An ancient practice, brought back to light in Europe by the German naturopath Louis Kuhne, picked up by hygienist Raymond Dextreit in his Harmonist Method, and later popularized in France by France Guillain. Thousands of people practice it daily today.
The difference from a sitz bath is the freedom: where the basin immobilizes you, the gel pack accompanies you in all your activities.
How to use it
1. Place the pack in the freezer, inside a box or freezer bag to keep it away from food.
2. Insert it into your underwear, wrapped in its protective towel. Its two ribbons hold it in place while you walk.
3. Wear it for as long as you like, and change the pack when it is no longer cool.
4. Wash the pack with soap, rinse, dry, and return it to the freezer. Towels are machine washable at 30°C.
At night, insert two packs into the sanitary liner: the session lasts until morning.
